ExxonMobil, in order to further enhance the company's flagship brand of motor oils, today introduces Mobil 1 Racing oils. These new products, available in 0W-20 and 0W-30 viscosities, represent the next generation of Mobil 1 race oils. Mobil 1 Racing oils deliver outstanding power via friction-modified low-viscosity synthetic base oils combined with boosted levels of anti-wear additives to protect and extend the life of engine hardware.
"In a racing environment you need everything in the vehicle to perform at its best, particularly your engine," said Bruce Crawley, Motorsports Technical Manager, ExxonMobil Lubricants and Petroleum Specialties Company. "Our new Mobil 1 Racing line uses the latest in lower-viscosity technology to produce more horsepower and is formulated with increased levels of zinc to enhance protection. These fully synthetic motor oils have been tested in the harsh environments of competitive racing to deliver outstanding power and protection."
Mobil 1 Racing 0W-20 and Mobil 1 Racing 0W-30 are designed to help deliver maximum horsepower, with 0W-20 specifically recommended for qualifying conditions. Both viscosities are recommended for a wide range of race engine applications, including highly loaded flat-tappet designs, which are used in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series competition. In fact, over half of all NASCAR teams choose Mobil 1 for performance and protection in race conditions.
Mobil 1 Racing oil is derived from emerging technology used by winning race teams. This lower-viscosity technology improves performance in race engines while protecting critical engine parts to improve engine longevity. This fully synthetic, race-proven technology is engineered to deliver performance and protection for the most demanding race conditions, including circle track, drag, sprint and road racing. Mobil 1 Racing oils were developed for on-track use only and are not recommended for general automotive street use.
