Lloyd Instruments has introduced a versatile, advanced materials testing instrument called the LS1 high performance single column materials testing machine. It provides comprehensive, precise, high criteria materials testing solutions of up to 225 lbf or 1 kN to the plastic industry.

The LS1 features improved slow movement functionality with linear response, intense audit trail and security capability, unique sample holding fixtures and grips and a complete suite of test and control software capability with flawless data transfer.
The LS1 features an innovative mechanical design with advanced software compensation systems, pre-loaded ball screws and linear guide technology to precisely measure even tiny compressions or extensions. The instrument provides a load precision range between 0.5% and 1% of load cell value that offers precise measurement over a broad range of loads, offering end users to employ a single load cell for their uses.
The LS1 has a comprehensive crosshead speed range between 0.01 and 2032 mm/min and thus is suitable for measuring relaxation/creep, extraction/insertion, peeling, tearing, friction and for testing compression and tensile. The device comes with a LCD control console as an option or with a remote hand-held controller to function as a stand-alone instrument. The test equipment comes with complete computer control utilizing the latest version of the company’s NEXYGENPlus control and test software.
The NEXYGENPlus 3.0 offers an improved User Configurable Test capability for configuring unique multi-stage tests for component and product testing, including a complete range of test procedures encompassing ISO, EN, DIN, ASTM and more.
