Linde Engineers Discuss Benefits of LNG Technology at ACT Expo

Linde North America highlighted the advantages and technology of liquefied natural gas (LNG) as an alternate fuel at the Alternative Clean Transportation (ACT) conference.

Truck fleet owners in the U.S. are looking for alternatives to oil-based fuels because of high fuel costs. The LNG technology from Linde and Cryostar, subsidiary of Linde, will support fleet owners to shift from gasoline and diesel to LNG. The company’s expertise will help generate a comprehensive supply chain solution that includes designing and developing LNG refueling stations.

Linde North America’s executives also discussed the various advantages of vehicles powered by LNG technology. Majority of LNG is manufactured locally which decreases the reliance on oil imports. LNG fuel vehicles generate low amount of nitrogen oxide and greenhouse gases compared to diesel fueled vehicles. Hence, the LNG technology provides a sustainable, green solution. In addition, the LNG fueling infrastructure was also discussed at the event.
