Nordson ASYMTEK, a leader in dispensing, coating, and jetting technologies, will demonstrate its SelectCoat® SL-940E conformal coating system with dual applicators as well as a surface mount adhesive dispensing platform at SMT Hybrid Packaging, Nuremberg, smartTec GmbH stand #7-219. In addition, Nordson ASYMTEK’s Spectrum™ S-920N platform with the new NexJet® System with Genius™ Jet Cartridge will be the focus for next generation jetting in the Future Packaging Line in stand #6-434.
The SelectCoat platform is a high-speed, high-accuracy coating system for high productivity applications. A wide range of conformal coating process parameters can be monitored for statistical process control, including laser fan width, viscosity, and flow. Processes are automatically maintained within limits, process status is logged for traceability, and the information can be exchanged with customer-specific factory information systems.
Also on display will be Nordson ASYMTEK’s Select Cure UV-9 inline oven for top and bottom material curing in mid-to-high volume production. Using ultraviolet light as the primary cure method, the oven is optimized for curing of parts up to 420mm.
The Future Packaging Joint Booth features a live production line. This year’s line addresses e-mobility in rehabilitation technologies with a focus on current issues in the manufacture of power electronics and LED components. The production line offers the chance to see the entire processing chain of electronic component manufacture, from the initial registration of the incoming goods through to component testing.
The SMT Hybrid Packaging 2013 show is being held in Nuremberg, Germany, from April 16-18.
