CHGT Offers 3D-Printed Props for Movie Studios

Changing Technologies, Inc. could be about to enter the motion picture business as it is currently engaged in talks with a studio concerning 3D printing of props and other related items.

“There’s no business like show business, and as far as the 3D printing of props, CHGT is definitely ready for its close-up,” said company CEO Marco Valenzuela, channeling Hollywood legend Gloria Swanson. “Our considerable experience in the entertainment industry makes CHGT an attractive creative partner. We have the tools and the talent that can help studios have audiences gazing at the screen in wonder and amazement. Americans have always loved movies and with the 3D printing technology available today, we can make true magic. If completed, we expect more deals like this going forward.”

With Americans spending an estimated 5.2 percent of their annual budgets on entertainment (an average of nearly $2,600 per year), movies have become big business. Of course, Hollywood famously churns out hundreds of movies per year (each using props) to meet that demand, with many motion pictures costing tens of millions of dollars to produce. However, there are also independent moviemakers who film not only studio releases, but made-for-TV movies, documentaries and direct-to-video productions.
