It cannot get any better than this, it feels absolutely amazing. I just wanted to create a little drama on the stage and give everyone an insight into what I do and it feels great to have succeeded in doing that.

Members taking part in the Researchers’ Grand Prix competition will get four minutes to deliver their presentation to an expert jury and a public audience. They should inform, inspire, and entertain the audience about their latest research work. Among the Grand Prix competition, eight Swedish researchers had qualified for the final round.

Sunil’s inspiring presentation on sustainable materials earned both the jury and audience’s approval, which fetched him the coveted trophy. During the final round, voting was cast by the audience through portable voting devices, and these votes were relatively higher than those cast by the jury. The expert jury included the editor and journalist of several Swedish scientific magazines Patrick Hadenius; comedian and actress Anna Blomberg; doctor and Professor of Clinical Bacteriology at the University of Gothenburg Agnes Wold; and Research & Progress.
