Cabot Buys Superior Micropowders

Cabot Corp have just acquired the assets of Superior Micropowders for approximately $16 million.

Superior Micropowders, based in New Mexico, USA is in the business of manufacturing and developing advanced materials and possesses proprietary mico and nano powder production technology. It was founded in 1997 by Dr. Toivo Kodas and Dr. Mark Hampden-Smith, both experts in aerosol processing technology. Both will continue on with the company as technical directors.

While still in the developmental stages, Superior Micropowders have been working with several major companies with applications in areas such as electronics, fuel cells, displays etc.
