The EIGER2 R 500K is capable of putting an end to compromises in laboratory XRD. So far, all detectors demanded trade-offs between active area, maximum count rates, pixel size and the capability for high- and low-energy discrimination. The Hybrid Photon Counting EIGER2 R 500K detector is capable of combining small pixels for high resolution, a huge active area for effective data acquisition, and unmatched count rates for accurate measurements of highest intensities.

Dual energy discrimination in combination with simultaneous read/write allows for extensive background suppression and high dynamic range at the same time. High frame rates allow instrument manufacturers to make sophisticated 0D, 2D and 1D data acquisition modes available. All these advantages are available in a maintenance-free detector with DECTRIS’ established reliability.
