Meet the Webinar Interviewee

David Cranfill joined Huntsman in 2021 as the Technology and Innovation Director for the Polyurethanes division. Cranfill is responsible for aligning current and future innovations with primary business objectives for product development to help deliver differentiated solutions to the market.  Cranfill is a member of America’s Leadership Team and is located in the Woodlands, TX.  Prior to joining Huntsman, Cranfill worked at BASF for over 13 years.  He joined BASF in 2007 as a member of their Professional Development Program in Wyandotte, MI, applying his chemistry education to different types of product developments for BASF.  From there, he held multiple roles within BASF, starting in project management and analysis, to becoming a group technical leader, and over time working his way up to an Automotive Coatings Technical director. Cranfill holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Rollins College and received his Doctor of Philosophy in organic chemistry from Purdue University.
