Speakers:

Holly Lee: Staff Scientist, Food, SCIEX

Holly obtained her PhD with Professor Scott Mabury at the University of Toronto, where she investigated the biological and environmental mechanisms involved in the fate of PFAS after consumer disposal.

After graduation, Holly worked as a Senior Analytical Technologist for the Ontario Ministry of Environment, Conservation, and Parks before joining SCIEX, where she has spent the last eight years in mass spectrometry research and development before transitioning to global technical marketing in food LC-MS/MS.

Carlos Bueno: Senior Application Support Specialist, SCIEX

Carlos earned his bachelor's degree in chemistry in 2001. Before becoming an Applications Specialist, he spent four years working in Madrid's doping control laboratory.

Carlos has been working with SCIEX as a Senior Application Support Specialist in EMEA since 2023. He has over 20 years of experience in chromatography and mass spectrometry, primarily focused on the development of applications for the food and environmental markets.

Jianru Stahl-Zeng: Senior Technical Manager, SCIEX

Jianru is a Senior Technical Marketing Manager. She has been a member of SCIEX since 2001. She was initially a member of the application support team, which included not only proteomics but also small molecule applications.

Jianru later switched to technical marketing, focusing on food and environmental applications. Since 2018, she has overseen the EMEA technical marketing group and initiatives. Jianru is also the Global Technical Leader in Food and Environmental Applications.

Craig Butt: Senior Manager, Food and Environmental

Craig M. Butt, Senior Manager of the Applied Markets group at SCIEX's Global Technical Marketing division, has more than 20 years of mass spectrometry experience.

He formerly worked at SCIEX as an Applications Scientist, where he developed both targeted and non-targeted methods in the cannabis, environmental, and food and beverage industries.

He earned his PhD in environmental chemistry from the University of Toronto, where his thesis examined the fate of poly- and perfluorinated substances (PFAS) in biological systems.

He began as an NSERC postdoctoral research fellow at Duke University's Nicholas School of the Environment before becoming a research scientist in the department.
