Dynamic Mechanical Analyzers - DMA from TA Instruments

The TA Instruments series of ElectroForce instruments are extremely versatile and are equipped to execute stationary and dynamic mechanical tests with great accuracy and consistency.  Most instruments can be outfitted to perform linear Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA), including adding thermal analysis on certain models (sometimes referred to as DMTA).

As well as this, DMA analysis and QA testing of viscoelastic materials can be performed by several TA ElectroForce® test instruments. These materials include elastomers, polymers, composites and tissues.

ElectroForce instruments are well suited to the dynamic nature of DMA tests due to their wide frequency and loading ranges.  Furthermore, with a small footprint and low noise, clean and robust operation enables their use in almost any environment, from processing floor to clean room to tissue culture incubator.

The following ElectroForce instruments can be configured for Dynamic Mechanical Analysis including Temperature Analysis.

Model Maximum Force (N) Max DMA Frequency (Hz) Temperature Range (C)
DMA 3200 LSO 500 N 100 Hz -150 to 315 °C
DMA 3200 FCO 500 N 100 Hz -150 to 600 °C
3300 3000 N 75 Hz -150 to 350 °C
3510 7500 N 40 Hz -150 to 350 °C
3550 15000 N 35 Hz -150 to 350 °C

The following ElectroForce instruments can be configured for Dynamic Mechanical Analysis at ambient or 37C temperature.

Model Maximum Force (N) Max DMA Frequency (Hz) Temperature Range (C)
3100 22 N 75 Hz Ambient air or 37 °C fluid
200N TestBench 200 N 75 Hz Ambient air or 37 °C fluid
200N Planar Biaxial 200 N 75 Hz Ambient air or 37 °C fluid
5500 200 N 15 Hz Ambient air or 37 °C fluid
