DuPont Opens First Ethylene Copolymer Operation in Asia Pacific

DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers (P&IP) recently hosted the opening ceremony for its DuPont™ Bynel® and DuPont™ Fusabond® adhesive resins production facility in Shenzhen, China. This is the first P&IP ethylene copolymer business operation in Asia Pacific.

The packaging industry, as well as polymer modification, is among the fastest-growing sectors in the polymer industry in China. Bynel® and Fusabond® adhesive resins are specialty products applicable to a wide range of packaging and industrial applications, such as building panels, pipe coating, flexible packaging, and polymer modification.

"As a major player in the packaging and industrial polymers industry, DuPont is focused on meeting the worldwide demand for more productive, high performance polymer materials. Our aim is to offer systems and solutions through DuPont expertise in technology and materials science," said Craig Binetti, vice president and general manager – DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers.
