Bodycote Acquire French Materials Testing Lab

Bodycote Materials Testing, part of the worldwide Bodycote Testing Group, has made its first venture into France with the acquisition of Centech, an independent materials testing laboratory based in Toulouse.

Centech is approved by major aerospace sector businesses such as SNECMA, Airbus and GEAE and provides a wide range of services including mechanical testing (fatigue and fracture); machining and failure analysis of metallic and composite materials.

Sean Kerr, Bodycote Testing’s Managing Director Europe said:

“Bodycote is a major service provider to the UK aerospace industry and the acquisition of Centech, with its close links with Airbus France not only dovetails perfectly with our existing business but gives us further opportunities for expansion into the European market. Centech has an excellent reputation for quality, integrity and technical expertise and its acquisition will further enhance Bodycote’s profile in Europe”
