Nordson Corporation, the world's leading producer of precision dispensing equipment, will participate in the 2007 AWFS Fair. Nordson's booth 23126 will demonstrate the Innovation, Service and Choice theme with hot melt adhesive application demos and displays focused on woodworking. The 2007 AWFS Fair will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, July 18-21, 2007.
Precise Profile Wrapping
- PWII 350 adjustable profile wrapping slot nozzle provides production flexibility through a configurable number of modules and exchangeable nozzle assemblies. Coating width and head position can be changed quickly and easily, even during production. As part of a closed system with Nordson bulk melters or VersaBlue melters, maintenance can be minimized while material usage is optimized.
- DPW adjustable profile wrapping slot nozzles maximize adhesive control with a dual deckling design that adjusts from the center of the nozzle out. Independent adjustment allows precise adhesive placement and consistency.
Efficient Edge Banding
- EB 60 V adjustable width edge banding guns provide high-quality, versatile adhesive application for a wide range of adhesives. Innovative slot technology quickly and easily adjusts to a 2.4 inch maximum to apply adhesive to either board or band.
- For soft forming production, an application-specific nozzle can be attached to EB 60 V edge banding guns. The custom-made nozzle applies adhesive directly to the profiled edge.
- MiniEdge(TM) edge banding systems are designed to process high-viscosity adhesives for small- to medium-sized edge banders. The adjustable nozzle applies a multi-bead pattern to the edge of the panel.
Innovative Technology
- SureFoam(TM) foaming systems combine hot melt adhesive with inert gas to create a homogenous closed-cell foam. The foamed material reduces adhesive consumption up to 50% while improving gap filling in drawer bottom and cabinet back assembly applications.
- PURBlue(TM) EC melters simplify use of reactive polyurethane (PUR) adhesives. A unique easy-to-clean design provides simple dismantling for components in contact with adhesives. The efficient operation and maintenance help increase productivity and reduce waste.
