Combining all the necessary Hall measurement system functions into a single instrument, the M91 automatically executes measurements, collecting the data and calculating the final Hall and mobility parameters, outputting “answers,” not just data. By automatically optimizing the excitation and measurement range, the instrument eliminates manual trial-and-error steps and ensures that measurements are always made under optimal conditions for the sample.
The instrument also provides better measurements faster – especially with low-mobility materials. Most commonly measured materials can be analyzed in a few seconds. Its speed is mainly due to Lake Shore’s patented FastHall™ technology, which eliminates the need to reverse the magnetic field during the measurement. This is particularly beneficial when using superconducting magnets, which are relatively slow at completing field reversals.
The M91 is also easy to use, can be integrated easily with existing lab systems, and provides a cost-effective way for researchers to build a new Hall system or upgrade an existing one.
