ISBT Beverage CO2 Specifications in Beverages

One of the world’s largest beverage manufacturers sought to enhance its gas purity verification system.

In light of the stringent impurity monitoring requirements established by the International Society of Beverage Technologists (ISBT), existing technologies such as Premier Guard and CBAS require an advanced solution for Beverage CO2 monitoring.

The new systems needed to be rugged, reliable, user-friendly, and easy to maintain while meeting rigorous ppb-level measurement standards.

1 Rationale definitions
Sensory: Any attribute that negatively impacts the taste appearance, or odor of beverage.
Process: Any attribute that defines a key parameter in a controlled process and an important consideration in the beverage industry.
Regulatory: Any attribute whose limit is set by governing regulatory agencies.

The Solution

After five years of development, which included two years of field trials and one year of in-service validation, AirBreather Systems was launched.

This robust, cost-effective, and maintenance-friendly system incorporates state-of-the-art technology and proprietary software to provide fast, accurate, and readily accessible CO2 purity verification.

It has received approval from Coca-Cola under Reference Number: NA-KO-102.
