Name Change for Andean American Mining

Andean American Mining Corp. ("Andean" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:AAG)(FRANKFURT:AQN) is pleased to announce that following the acceptance of a resolution at the Company's Annual and Special Meeting on August 31st, 2010, the Company has changed its name to Andean American Gold Corp.

The Company's new website can be found at www.AAGgold.com.

The change of name is intended to reflect the Company's transition from explorer to developer, as well as the appointment of new senior executives.

The TSX Venture Exchange issued a bulletin on September 3, 2010 confirming the name change. The Company trading symbol of AAG is unchanged. The new CUSIP number is 03349T100.
