California, USA-based TenCate Advanced Composites North America in Morgan Hill has extended to the adjacent facility. The company plans to use sophisticated systems and methods for its R&D labs, thermoplastic composites manufacturing and office space.
TenCate manufactures thermoset and thermoplastic composites to the aerospace sector. There is an increasing demand for reliable lightweight composites both from conventional composites sector and other industrial markets.
The extended facility signifies an essential addition to the thermoplastic composite manufacturing potential of TenCate. Thermoplastic composites provide an innovative mix of reliability and processability that will enable them to suit applications from aerospace to advanced industrial markets that include transportation and oil and gas.
TenCate Advanced Composites North America’s President, Joe Morris stated that this facility will enable further growth of the company in the composites area and enable flexibility to allow continual expansion in thermoplastic composite manufacturing. The present Morgan Hill corporate office and thermoset manufacturing plant will continue to be used by the company. The adjacent plant will particularly concentrate on research and development and thermoplastic composite manufacture.
