New Family of Standard Ultra-low Temperature Portable Air- and Water-cooled Chillers

A new family of ultra-low temperature air- and water-cooled portable chillers, suitable for materials and chemical development, has been introduced by Thermonics Corp.

These portable two-stage, cascade refrigeration chiller systems are capable of reaching -80°C. The product family of recirculating chillers employs heat-transfer fluids controlled at precise temperatures with various cooling capacities to support a particular application, up to 2.5kW at -80°C.

Three models of each process chiller type – W-80 water cooled and A-80 air cooled series – are designed for reliability during 24/7 temperature control. Chiller systems are equipped with on-board diagnostics that help predict chiller health and avoid unexpected downtime.

With a choice of water or air-cooled condenser, the system easily integrates into the lab or production facility. Solvent recovery and reaction temperature control are just a few low-temperature applications for these portable chillers.

A touch-screen temperature control unit allows set up of thermal profiles, viewing and logging data, trends, and diagnostics. Communications interfaces include (Ethernet, RS232, USB) for remote chiller monitoring and setpoint control.
