Advanced Inspection Made Accessible – Interactive Webinar

Live online demonstration of Evident’s new NORTEC™ 700 eddy current array flaw detector - Wed, Oct 7, 2026 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM CEST

Conventional eddy current testing (ECT) covers a narrow strip per pass, and every result depends on reading an impedance plane signal correctly. Eddy current array (ECA) widens the strip and turns the result into a C-scan image, so defects appear as recognizable patterns rather than traces to interpret.

Evident Inspection Technologies is offering an interactive live webinar featuring the new NORTEC™ 700 eddy current array flaw detector which puts both ECT and ECA techniques on one seamless platform. Attendees can explore how the latest advancements in ECA technology can help improve inspection efficiency, coverage, and defect detection capabilities.

During this live demonstration on Wednesday 7th October 2026, 4-5pm CEST, Evident’s application expert will showcase key inspection techniques and real-world probe applications, highlighting how ECA technology enables faster inspections and intuitive data visualization across a wide range of industrial applications.

The webinar will conclude with a live Q&A session, giving the opportunity to discuss specific inspection challenges directly with Evident’s expert, Michaël Barbeyrol, who brings more than 30 years as a mechanical engineer and NDT inspector in aerospace manufacturing and maintenance.

Whether attendees are new to eddy current array testing or looking to enhance current inspection processes, this session will provide valuable practical insights and best practices.

About Evident Inspection Technologies

Evident Inspection Technologies designs and manufactures the solutions that inspection professionals rely on when accuracy matters, access is difficult, and the answer has to be right.

Our product and technology portfolio is built around nondestructive testing (NDT), remote visual inspection (RVI), and material analysis. Within each of these areas we have a deep legacy and understanding of what inspection actually demands in the field - the difficult angles, the tight spaces, the need for data you can act on, and the pressure of making a call that protects people, assets, and operations. We build our solutions around these realities.

In NDT, we provide thickness gauges, conventional and phased array flaw detectors, eddy current instruments, and scanners engineered to deliver reliable results in the environments where you actually work, not just in the lab. In RVI, our video borescopes are built to reach where you can’t, delivering outstanding image quality in the hard-to-access spaces across aviation, power generation, oil and gas, and industrial manufacturing. In material analysis, our X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analyzers bring lab-quality elemental analysis into the field - fast, rugged, and precise enough for alloy verification, precious metals, scrap sorting, and environmental assessment.

Evident was originally the Scientific Solutions Division of Olympus Corporation, where our history spanned over 100 years. In 2022, that division became Evident, a standalone company built to move faster, focus sharper, and serve inspection customers better. In 2025, Evident’s Inspection Technologies business became part of Wabtec Corporation, a global industrial leader with deep expertise in Digital Intelligence, operational excellence, and systems that help industries run more safely and efficiently.

Today, we are backed by more investment power, stronger engineering resources, and a long-term commitment to growth. This points us toward where inspection is headed next: beyond single moments of detection and toward smarter workflows, connected data, and the operational intelligence that helps you act on what you find.

The expertise, manufacturing capabilities, and commitment to customers that have defined this business for more than 100 years remain exactly what they were. The platform behind them is now stronger than it has ever been.
