Circuit Protection Needs in Server Rack Power Distribution Units

The global rise in computing power has driven steady growth in telecommunications and server infrastructure. As data center technologies continue to advance rapidly, their power systems have evolved alongside them.

Data center architecture has shifted from 120 VAC and 208/120 VAC to 208 VAC Delta, 230 VAC, and 240 VAC voltage levels. Server racks can now accommodate increasing volumes of data in progressively smaller spaces.

Managing power delivery to these units relies on rack power distribution units (PDUs), typically positioned vertically inside the IT rack enclosure.
