One Component Silicone Elastomer MasterSil 709 Meets MIL-A-46146

Fast curing, single component MasterSil 709 has been developed for bonding, sealing and formed in place gaskets. MasterSil 709 is non-corrosive, flowable and is tack free in 15-20 minutes at 75°F. The rapidity of the cure depends on the thickness of the layer and the humidity; the thicker the layer the slower the cure.

Master Bond MasterSil 709 has a viscosity of 30,000-40,000 cps. Its moderate viscosity and good flow properties make it ideal for conformal creating applications. It has a Shore A hardness of 25-35 and a translucent color. MasterSil 709 features high thermal stability up to 400°F and bonds well to a wide variety of substrates. Its volume resistivity is > 1015 ohm-cm.
