Absorbency
Corn Cob granules are highly absorbent in drying operations (up to 5 x its weight in water) and effective in the clean-up of oil spills.
Tumbling Operations
Corn Cob is extensively used for polishing brass parts and casings and vibratory finishing. It is also employed in rotary tumblers, however, the inside of the casings is better cleaned in vibratory operations. For more heavily tarnished or dirty metals, Walnut Shell Media may be recommended.
Log Home Restoration
Corn Cob is capable of providing an even and smooth finish in log home restoration. Reusable and reclaimable, this blasting method rapidly removes water marks, old stain and debris in order to prepare wood for new clear stain and coats. Corn Cob does an exceptional job when restoring wood furniture and panels.
