Comprehensive Product Range To Be Showcased At Chinaplas 2013 By Songwon

Songwon Industrial Group will once again take its place at Chinaplas 2013 (Hall 10.2, Booth A51) as the second largest manufacturer of polymer stabilizers in the world and a leading global producer and supplier of additives and other chemicals to the plastic industry.

Having recently announced positive results for 2012, Songwon continues to demonstrate its global presence by expanding its already comprehensive product range with the addition of two important additives for the polymer industry as well as the capability to produce OPS (One Pack Systems) in significant volume.

Songwon is rapidly becoming the partner of choice in all the key polymer producing regions and is already a producer of additives in China.Songwon Baifu Chemicals (Tangshan) Co., Ltd., a joint venture with Tangshan Baifu Chemical Co. Ltd. successfully commenced operations on July 1, 2012 with a production capacity of 8.000 metric tons of thioester antioxidants, based on a fully backward integrated production process, making it the global leader in capacity for thioester products.

Songwon has also entered into a long term distribution agreement with Sabo SpA to distribute Sabo's HALS (Hindered Amine Light Stabilizers) product range of light stabilizers on a global basis. Sabo SpA, based in Levate, Italy, is a global leading producer of monomeric and polymeric HALS and enjoys a reputation as a supplier of high quality products and a provider of innovative solutions.

Jongho Park, Chairman and CEO and Head of the Songwon Industrial Group Executive Committee, said: “We are delighted to be back at Chinaplas to demonstrate the progress we are making in serving our customers globally with important additions to our product range. Our leadership position in OPS reflects the rapidly increasing demand for this important product form. Having doubled the capacity to 14.000 metric tons in our Greiz facility, Germany, we have also started production of 7.000 metric tons in Houston, USA and in 2014 we will add another 7.000 metric tons of capacity in Kizad, Abu Dhabi.”

Representatives from Songwon’s global organization as well those who are located in the China region will be present at Chinaplas 2013 in Hall 10.2, Booth A51.
