Ambrell Ships EKOHEAT Induction Heating System for Preheating Drill Bits

Ambrell, a leading manufacturer of induction heating systems, has sold an EKOHEAT 125 kW/10 kHz induction heating system for preheating drill bits prior to brazing. The client has used Ambrell systems before for this application, but needed a higher power induction heating system for new, larger drill bits.

The Ambrell Applications Lab ran a Lab Service Request (LSR) and determined that a 125 kW/10 kHz system would heat the three new drill bits products to temperature (850° F/454° C) in the targeted times. This will enable the client to meet his production objectives. Three custom coils were purchased as part of the solution. Ambrell runs LSR requests free-of-charge for prospective clients.

The client also decided to leverage Ambrell’s Start-Up Assistance service. Ambrell’s responsiveness, reliability and innovation were reasons the client continues to choose Ambrell. This is just one of several recent drill bit preheating applications Ambrell has addressed throughout the industry.

Ambrell’s products are CE certified and manufactured in an ISO9001:2008 certified facility in Scottsville, NY USA. For additional details about Ambrell, call +1 585-889-9000 or visit www.ambrell.com.
