Empower Materials Inc. produces first small scale quantities of QPAC 100 Polypropylene/ Polycyclohexene Carbonate Powder for Pore Former Applications

Empower Materials recently completed a trial to produce QPAC ® 100 powder.

The powder was made from the recent production run of QPAC ® 100. There has been an increasing demand for a clean burning sacrificial material that can be used to form pores in a multitude of substrates. The applications range from pore former applications for energy and electronics to medical. The available particle sizes for evaluation range from 50 microns (d50) to 350 microns.

These powders have excellent decomposition properties similar to QPAC®25, QPAC®40, QPAC®100 and QPAC®130 standard pellet materials. The powder degrades at low temperatures and the residuals remaining after decomposition are negligible. The higher glass transition temperature of the QPAC®100 keeps the powder discreet and easy to handle.

Small quantities of the powders are available for analysis. Large scale quantities can be easily produced. Please contact [email protected] for further information on these new and exciting powders.
