Malvern Expands Recently Acquired MicroCal Range With Launch of Two New-Generation Calorimeters

Malvern Panalytical has launched two new-generation isothermal titration calorimeters (ITC), advancing its recently acquired MicroCal range to further support life science researchers studying biomolecular interactions.

The new manual Malvern Panalytical MicroCal PEAQ-ITC and fully automated Malvern Panalytical MicroCal PEAQ-ITC Automated systems are designed to deliver the enhanced functionality and robust performance now demanded of this essential tool.

ITC allows the label-free study of a wide variety of molecular interactions and the Malvern Panalytical MicroCal PEAQ-ITC and PEAQ-ITC Automated systems deliver exceptional sensitivity and outstanding data quality at high speed.

Redesigned software ensures intuitive operation while automated data analysis means even non-experts can interpret with confidence. Options for walk-away automation offer quicker screening, faster hit validation and greater laboratory efficiency, and Malvern Panalytical remains the only producer of a fully automated ITC system.

In addition, high signal to noise gives confidence in data quality and in the relevance of the affinity and thermodynamic parameters generated. The Malvern Panalytical MicroCal PEAQ-ITC Automated is a fully automated ITC system that will replace the current Malvern Panalytical MicroCal Auto-ITC200. Its robust new design is coupled with the same all new data analysis package featured in the manual system.

Such full automation has applications in many laboratories, but is ideally suited to industrial and other core facilities involved in small molecule drug discovery where large-scale target identification, hit validation and lead optimization are undertaken.
