	Description
Silver gallium sulfide has high transparency to short wavelengths and the phase-matching and nonlinear optical properties of the material allow various frequency mixing interactions from the visible to mid-IR region. Surface absorption of silver gallium sulfide also may increase with time.
	Applications
Silver gallium sulfide finds applications in the following:
	-
It has been used as an efficient frequency doubling crystal for nonlinear three-wave interactions

	-
		Optical parametric oscillators

	-
		Direct infrared counter measure systems.
