The Glacier X miniature spectrometer from B&W Tek is the smallest TE cooled spectrometer, suitable for applications involving high portability and performance. The Glacier X has a built-in 16-bit digitizer, a 2048 element linear CCD array, and a high-speed USB 2.0 interface.
The Glacier X provides reduced dark counts, higher dynamic range, and superior baseline stability when compare to non-cooled CCD spectrometers, thus ensuring that the Glacier X is suitable for long-term monitoring applications and low light level detection.
OEM customers are offered with advanced application support and custom spectrometer configurations. OEM system integrators use the Glacier TE cooled spectrometer due to its compact form factor and combined temperature cooling and regulation. The TE cooling allows the weak signal including Raman and fluorescence to be integrated for a sufficient period of time in order to accumulate measurable signals for detection, thus obtaining a far superior signal-to-noise ratio.
