Introduction

Commercially pure aluminium / aluminum is a silverish white, lustrous metal. The outstanding characteristic of this metal its light weight.

Although aluminium / aluminum alloys are strong, they can be easily worked, as it is very malleable and ductile. Aluminium / aluminum 2090 alloy is a heat treatable wrought alloy that can be easily welded.
