Linde Introduce Specialty Gas Cylinder that Protects Sensitive Equipment

Linde Canada has introduced a specialty gas cylinder that protects ultra-sensitive instruments from damage due to positive gas pressure. The ECOCYL OSQ specialty gas cylinder employs a unique form of negative gas pressure to protect sensitive instruments, such as environmental monitoring devices, from harm. Such instruments can be susceptible to damage from positive gas pressure, which is often associated with conventional gas cylinders.

Linde Canada is part of Linde North America, which is a member of The Linde Group, a world leading gases and engineering company. The new ECOCYL OSQ specialty gas cylinder is part the Linde HiQ specialty gases offerings.

As with other patented ECOCYL cylinder models, the ECOCYL OSQ (on demand, stainless steel, quick disconnect) specialty gas cylinder is refillable, avoiding the environmental waste or costly regulatory cylinder return and waste handling issues often associated with disposable cylinder packaging. ECOCYL specialty gas cylinders have an integrated cylinder valve, pressure regulator and flow control all within the cylinder. These are permanently protected by a specially designed protective cowling, which makes them safer and easier to handle than cylinders requiring associated gas handling equipment.

The new ECOCYL OSQ specialty gas cylinder is perfectly suited for instruments such as detection monitors with integrated pumps or those monitors calibrated in docking stations with built-in pumping devices.

The branding of all Linde's specialty gases solutions, including gas mixtures and high purity gases, specialty equipment products and associated services will now be aligned within the Canadian market under a single internationally recognised Linde brand -- HiQ specialty gases.

"Unifying our specialty gas and equipment ranges under the HiQ brand umbrella enables Linde to provide a unique level of assurance to customers through the trademark's guarantee of the highest quality and globally available consistency," said Darlene Haapanen, specialty gases marketing manager for Linde Canada. "We are constantly innovating to understand and surpass customer expectations for today and the future," Haapanen said.
