ChemPoint.com (ChemPoint) and DuPont Fluoropolymer Solutions (DuPont) today announced that ChemPoint has been selected as a preferred distributor for DuPont™ Capstone® fluorosurfactants in the United States and Canada. Effective October 3, 2012, ChemPoint will manage order placement and fulfillment, as well as technical assistance and support for Capstone® fluorosurfactants.

DuPont™ Capstone® fluorosurfactants are based on short-chain chemistry that cannot break down to perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) in the environment. They offer customers the same or better performance as their predecessors without a compromise in fluorine efficiency.
Capstone® fluorosurfactants are used in a variety of materials such as paints and coatings, adhesives, waxes and polishes, and industrial cleaning products. Capstone® fluorosurfactants enhance formulations by substantially reducing surface tension and by improving properties such as wetting and spreading, leveling, penetrating, foaming control, chemical stability and thermal stability.
Capstone® fluorosurfactants meet the goals of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency 2010/15 PFOA Stewardship Program.
