Major UK Metallographic Equipment Supplier Appoints New Service Engineer

Service and maintenance of your laboratory equipment is paramount to a well run laboratory. We like to think that we understand our customer needs and when you are looking for new equipment you also look for a company that can support that equipment with experienced service engineers. When equipment fails you may need backup, at Spectrographic we would like to work with you to offer customer tailored service contracts and service repairs to meet your needs.

Spectrographic are pleased to announce the appointment of Philip to our service team. With over 30 years experience in the engineering industry, 22 years in the R A F, then 10 years in civil aviation, as a service engineer. Philip has practical experience of working on and maintaining a wide range of electrical/electronic and mechanical systems.

Philip has already worked on the following equipment:

  • Struers Discotom 2 – Abrasive cutter
  • Struers Accutom – Precsion cutter
  • Buehler Metaserv 2000 – Metallurgical grinder and polisher
  • Buehler Simpliment 2000 – Metallurgical mounting press.
  • Mitutoyo Durotwin – Rockwell hardness tester
