Kyocera and Sandvik Sign a Patent Cross-License Agreement

Kyocera Corporation and Sandvik have announced that they had entered into a patent cross-license agreement on April 18, 2006.

Under the terms of the agreement, Kyocera is licensed for the use of several patents relating to cutting insert for metal cutting which Sandvik holds, and Sandvik reciprocally is licensed to use several patents which Kyocera holds.

This agreement is to resolve all cutting-insert-technology-related disputes between the parties, which have been involved since February 2004.
