Polytec Expands VibroFlex system with New Connect+ Frontend

Polytec is expanding its modular VibroFlex laser vibrometry platform with the new Connect+ Frontend. The system integrates a reference channel, signal generator and WiFi in one central hardware unit and increases the bandwidth to up to 32 MHz. Users in research, development and production testing benefit from more compact measurement setups and advanced analysis functions.

Less Hardware, More Functionality

With the integrated reference channel and signal generator, users can acquire complete transfer functions (FRF) phase-synchronously without additional external measurement hardware. An encoder and tacho input adds functions for order analysis and run-up measurements.

“Many users wanted to integrate measurement setup, synchronization and data acquisition more closely within the system. With Connect+, we have addressed exactly these requirements,” explains Frank Schmälzle, Product Manager Vibrometry at Polytec.

Extended Bandwidth and Wireless Integration

The bandwidth of up to 32 MHz supports high-frequency applications such as ultrasonic and structural analysis. For multi-channel setups, the new PTP-based synchronization enables precise timing between several frontends.

The integrated WiFi function also enables wireless system control and data transfer via VibSoft software. This significantly reduces cabling effort, especially at measurement locations that are difficult to access or safety-critical.

Fully Compatible with Existing VibroFlex Systems

The modular principle of the VibroFlex system remains unchanged. Existing VibroFlex systems can use the new Connect+ Frontend without replacing existing sensor heads.
