Fabrication and Heat Treatment

Welding

Welding processes suitable for the UNS C92700 copper alloy include brazing and soldering. Welding processes not recommended for this alloy include gas shielded arc welding, carbon arc welding, coated metal arc welding and oxyacetylene welding.

Machinability

The machinability rating of the UNS C92700 alloy is 45.

Heat Treatment

The UNS C92700 alloy has stress relieving temperature of 260°C (500°F). Work pieces should be soaked at the the stress relieving temperature for one hour per inch of work piece thickness.

This alloy does not react to heat treatment.
