Advantages

Improved tensile strength, flexural modulus, heat distortion temperature and flammability characteristics compared with unmodified PPO. Halogen free flame retarding additives available.

Disadvantages

Reduced notched izod impact strength and elongation at break compared with unmodified PPO. Inclusion of glass can cause anisotropy in mouldings.
