Introduction
A master alloy is a combination of base metals such as copper, aluminum, or nickel, and one or two other elements of relatively higher percentage. It is a semi-finished product that is primarily manufactured for use as a raw material. Master alloys can be manufactured in many shapes.
Master alloys are mainly used in the metal industry. The two main applications are composition adjustment and structure control. These alloys are preferred over pure metals as they are more economical, and save production time and energy as they melt faster in lower temperatures.
