A moisture analyzer provides accurate and precise information regarding the moisture content present in a sample. A sample is weighed and then heated in order to evaporate all moisture. Once this drying process is complete, the moisture content of the sample is calculated based on the gravimetric principle, which measures the loss of weight of the sample upon drying. Data acquisition software is available to produce a graph plotting the drying data results against time, providing researchers with information on the speed of drying as well as the dry weight stability of a sample.
