Uponor to Divest Irish Manufacturing Operation

Uponor announced a contract to divest its manufacturing premises in Cork, Ireland to a local building company. The deal was planned to take place in the final quarter of 2008. Later, in connection with the divestment of its UK/Irish infrastructure business on 9 May 2008, Uponor stated that the closing of the real estate deal has been delayed to Q1/2009.

It has now been agreed between the vendor and the purchaser that the deal will be executed at a later stage in 2009.

In 2007, Uponor estimated that the divestment will bring Uponor a sales gain of ca EUR 18 million before taxes.
