AZoM.com, the A to Z of Materials, hosted its largest number of visitor sessions ever in August 2002, with over 42,000 visitors setting yet another record for AZoM.com audience numbers.
In the 12 months since launch, AZoM.com has now recorded over 200,000 visitor sessions and over 5.5 million hits.
This trend continues AZoM’s rapid growth, which has seen visitor numbers increase every month since launch, in August of 2001.
An assessment of the last three months shows that visitor numbers have grown by an incredible 72%.
When asked why AZoM was performing so strongly, AZoM.com CEO Dr. Ian Birkby explained, "Our customer feedback indicates that AZoM’s growth can be attributed to two main factors, firstly, the breadth and quality of the materials information on AZoM.com and secondly, the wide range of search options which are available."
Dr. Birkby went on, "Purchasers of materials simply like the AZoM.com experience. Our repeat visitors are in excess of 50% and we have many examples of global multinationals who visit AZoM.com over 30 times a month."

The success of AZoM.com is also underlined by the increasing number of material suppliers from around the globe, who are signing up to take advantage of "AskAZoM".
Introduced in April 2002, a totally unique on-line search tool, "AskAZoM" allows material purchasers to ask questions as if they are talking to a materials expert.
The benefits of "AskAZoM" as an on-line materials sales force is now being appreciated by materials suppliers, who realise it is better to host their materials information with an incredibly popular site such as AZoM.com, rather than trying to develop highly sophisticated versions of their own web sites.
