Praxair to Sell Polish Gas Business to BOC

Praxair have announced that they have signed an agreement with BOC Gazy (part of the BOC Group) for the sale of their Polish subsidiary Praxair Polska. The acquisition will cost BOC approximately $50 million.

Poland is the largest industrial gases market in central Europe and the acquisition will allow BOC to offer a more comprehensive range of products

The acquisition is also consistent with BOC’s goals to exploit opportunities which will improve their position in key markets. The present situation enhances their Industrial and Special Products business in one of the fastest growing markets in central Europe.

The divestment by Praxair is in line with their strategy to focus on geographic markets where they can achieve growth and returns consistent with their objectives.
