Imago Scientific Secure $7 Million for LEAP Microscope

Imago Scientific has juste secured $7 million in series A funding for the development of their innovative LEAP microscope.

Investors include Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Infineon Ventures, Draper Triangle and Stanford University.

The LEAP microscope that Imago will be developing provides information that traditional microscopes cannot obtain. Unlike these devices, the LEAP microscope can provide information about the atomic scale features of materials. In fact it works in reverse to most microscopes, starting at the atomic level and zooming out.

The LEAP microscope enables atom by atom analysis, providing unique and potentially critical information, especially for research institutes and applications like semiconductors and data storage.

Imago has already built a prototype and has been able to demonstrate the application of their technology to their target markets.
