IDEX has announced the acquisition of Matcon Group, a provider of material processing solutions for high value powders utilized in the production of fine chemicals, plastics, food and pharmaceuticals.
Matcon’s solutions include breakthrough products such as the original cone valve powder discharge system and mixing, filling and packaging systems, all of which address process and automation requirements of customers. The company’s solutions are the key to meet the requirement of customers for clean, consistent and reproducible formulations of pharmaceuticals and prepackaged foods, while facilitating them to realize flexible and agile production.
Matcon is situated in Evesham, Worcestershire, England and has sales offices in all major locations of the world. With a strong customer base worldwide, the company focuses on the rapidly expanding pharmaceutical and food markets in the Asian region. The company’s annual revenues are roughly £22 million and it will now operate in the Materials Processing Technologies platform of IDEX Health and Science Technologies segment.
