The President of MIE Solutions, David Ferguson will present two educational seminars on “Benefits of Incorporating Data Collection within the Shop Floor and Going Paperless” and “Estimating - Made to Order Manufacturing” at FABTECH.
In the first seminar, Ferguson will be presenting the benefits of including data collection in the shop floor. The shop floor data collection software will use production scheduling to allow a manufacturing shop to be converted into paperless. Kiosk data collection software will minimize the utilization of barcode technology in order to capture employee task through the job shop. These systems can permit workers to clock in/out of jobs, in/out for the day and provide bills of material to jobs for job costing. They can be incorporated with scheduling software.
Topics for the second seminar include request for material needs, quote management, large assembly estimating and operation time.
