MIE Solutions, a provider of ERP software for the manufacturing and job shop industry, has announced a new partnership with Metamation, a provider of CAD/CAM software.
The companies have released MetaQuote and MetaCAM for integration of ERP and CAD/CAM software. MIE Solutions offers a powerful engine that can be easily installed. It functions in real time and works with real time data. The MetaCAM engine provides an effective CAD/CAM solution that includes efficient nesting solutions and an intuitive user interface. The integration of the software and the ERP results in a tool that enables faster communication of data and information between cross functional groups. The real time feedback received from the shop floor enables the design, estimation, programming and other departments to take correct decisions.
The integration allows linking of DXF files and these files can be analyzed. For creating quotes, information can be transferred to the MIETrak from the CAM system. All other data, which includes tool data, part weight, run time, and part size can be stored within MIE Trak. The information allows creation of detailed quotes and can be used in formulas.
The MetaCAM settings decide the assignment of tools. The integration enables work order nesting of shop floor jobs that require similar operations. MetaCAM’s nesting module enables dynamic nesting. It separates nest patterns based on thickness and the materials, automatically. The job reports and machine setup sheets can be printed from MIETrak. It also allows comparison of run time data from Plasma, Laser, Water Jet and CNC Turret machines.
