Cytec to Exhibit a Range of Advanced Composite and Process Material at All-Energy 2013 Conference

Cytec will be exhibiting its range of advanced composite and process materials on stand number D51 at All-Energy 2013, which is being held in the Aberdeen Exhibition & Conference Centre, Bridge of Don, Aberdeen on the 22 and 23 May.

Our Industrial Materials and Process Materials segments will be presenting a range of exhibits to demonstrate the application of our products across a number of market sectors. This will include a staggered sandwich panel illustrating how our structural and tooling prepregs, adhesive and surface improvement films, and fully compatible process consumables work together to optimise the performance of large Out-of-Autoclave (OoA) structures.

We will be focussing on our advanced Variable Temperature Moulding (VTM®) resin systems, and flexible production methodology. These composite resin systems, our process materials, and our outstanding customer service make us a single-source for all prepregs and process consumables required to manufacture turbine blades, spars, supporting structures and components for wind, wave and tidal energy generating projects.

Our VTM systems are used to produce market-leading, advanced prepregs for tidal turbine blade manufacture. They have a proven track record in service, and are fully supported by an extensive database.

We will be pleased to have Angus Fleming, Managing Director of Aviation Enterprises Ltd. (AEL), on our stand this year, and he will be available to discuss AEL’s composite design and manufacturing service for tidal turbines and sub-sea structures. AEL, a company with significant experience in the application of Cytec’s structural and process materials, offers a unique, one-stop, seamless service from customer concept through to structural design, prototyping, testing, tooling, manufacture and certification.

Richard Horn, Industrial Sector Manager, said: “We have considerable expertise in composite materials for marine energy applications, and we believe that All-Energy is the ideal exhibition to showcase our latest product developments. We look forward to yet another successful event.”

Our representatives, and guest from AEL, will be available to discuss the application of our structural and process materials, as well as your requirements.
