BaySpec Agility™ Portable Raman Spectrometer
Raman spectroscopy is a reliable, non-contact and non-destructive analysis method which requires little or no sample preparation. The applications of Raman spectroscopy are expanding rapidly, due to falling equipment prices and a steady reduction in the size of Raman instruments. Current applications range from the determination of lipid content in algae to the analysis of crystal structures in zeolites.
The latest generation of the Agility™ spectrometer from BaySpec Inc. is a portable Raman spectrometer, with a choice of one or two integrated laser sources.
The device is equipped with a volume phase grating as a spectral dispersing element, and can be adapted to a specific range of wavelengths for your application. The cooled detector array (532-785nm or 1064nm InGaAs CCD) completes the instrument.
The features of the Agility™ allow it to make fast and accurate field measurements for forensic, pharmaceutical and homeland security applications.
The Agility™ includes an cuvette and a tablet holder for automatic alignment of samples. The simple touch-screen user interface not only facilitates sample identification using built-in or custom user libraries, but also performs automatic background calibration and baseline correction.
