AZoM Expert A/Prof Ben-Nissan Joins Board of Orthopaedics Organisation

FARM is delighted to welcome Associate Professor Doctor Besim Ben-Nissan, BSc,PhD, to its distinguished and internationally known Board of Directors. Professor Ben-Nissan brings to the Board an enormous background in the production and analysis of advanced ceramics, sol-gel developed thin films, biomedical materials and finite element analysis of material structures and implants. Affiliated with the University of Technology, Department of Chemistry, Materials and Forensic Science, in Sydney, Australia, Ben-Nissan had published over the past decade over 170 papers in journals, book chapters and proceedings. Co-Editor of the Journal of the Australian Ceramic Society, he was awarded the Australasian Ceramic Society Award during the year 2000 for his “Contribution to the Ceramics Research & Development and Education.” Professor Ben-Nissan has collaborations world wide in orthopedic implants, sol-gel coated materials and modeled areas.
