Ceradyne Receive $13.8m Order for Body Armour

Ceradyne have just received an order from the US army procurement agency for US$13.8 million worth of small arms protective body inserts (SAPI), or ceramic armour.

Ceradyne will begin shipping the order in June and expects to have completed deliveries by the end of the year.

The current order constitutes the largest single order ever received by the advanced ceramics manufacturer.
